“It” seemed to occur like a thief in the night.

“It” began with a rather positive presentation of Barack Obama and his family and ended with a gorgeous face over an advertisement to visit a fan site. Perhaps the most memorable piece of the puzzle was the unmistakably beautiful voice over a feel-good melody. Maybe “it” was the inspirational words powerful enough to bring tears to your eyes as you are reminded that all hope in life is not lost—that storms in life we face DO bring change for the better. “It” was a gift of encouragement during times of senseless violence and perilous times.

That “it” factor was given to us by none other than rising entertainment prodigy LaDeana Michelle, through her uplifting promo single dedicated to Barack Obama, “Keep Your Faith”. Throw your immediate thoughts away—it is not a gospel song or a political statement. It wasn’t even her designated artist single still scheduled for upcoming delivery. The bottom line was? She felt Barack and his family (as well as the American people) needed encouragement and needed it yesterday. Type in “LaDeana Michelle” on YouTube’s search window. The video will visit you. In just a little over three minutes, you are visually taken on a journey—from Barack as a young toddler to Barack, Michelle Obama and his lovely children in today’s times. All is positive and the song—nothing less than incredible--issues an array of chill bumps—if you’re truly listening.

Of course, the promo video of the single was initially leaked all over the internet. Not to worry, though—LaDeana Michelle and team responded accordingly and fans young and old can’t seem to get enough.

LaDeana Michelle, relative of the legendary Sam Cooke and Eddie Kendricks (Temptations) is originally from the Oakland Bay Area--home to successful peers Keyshia Cole, E-40, Too Short, Ledisi, Goapele, MC Hammer and more. She yields a stream of endless talent as a CEO, multi-octave vocalist, producer, songwriter, musician, arranger, composer, actress, screenwriter, poet, print model and more with a laundry list of entertainment and business industry credits to her name. More importantly, she has that undeniable “it” factor. Her voice is uniquely identifiable…and full of emotion. There’s just something in it that “gets you”. She radiates without trying. The late Tupac Shakur nicknamed her “Worldwide”. He knew.

Now, it’s our turn.

As if the first smash wasn’t enough, also included for music-goers is another chill-bump issuance entitled, “From Dollars To Dimes”, which is so strong, it makes you want to question the people around you. Are they truly your friends? Will they be there for you when you’re crying, going through crazy times…from dollars to dimes? You’ll have to hear this one, too. I was blown away...and my usual favorite music consists of pure pop and country. However, that “it” factor can be in steel drums…if it’s there, it’s there. In a sea of music releases covering 201 ways to go about having pre-marital sex, it is quite refreshing to hear and feel something of substance hit the music highway.

You’ve got to love the irony. All this…and this beautiful, amazing artist is not officially released yet.
